The Auditory Neuroscience & Perception Lab (ANPL) is run by Professor Narayan Sankaran. We are housed within the Department of Neuroscience at the University of San Francisco.
Our research seeks a mechanistic account of how the human brain enables us to perceive and experience music. Such insight informs our overall understanding of brain function and can drive the development of music-based interventions for mood, anxiety, and neurological disorders.
